I have no words to describe the first month of fall because I used all of my words up – I have been so busy I cannot even believe that November is right around the corner. Where did October go because I didn’t see it at all!
OK… let me catch my breath…
I was planning, teaching, and traveling this month, but with a more harried schedule than ever before. For example, one weekend I left (for Vegas) on a Friday and got back into Montreal the following Thursday, arrived at home, unpacked my bags, then repacked my bags, got some paperwork done, slept for mere hours before getting up at 3am to catch a 6am flight to Toronto.
When I returned I had two back-to-back client educational programs – one was at the Hyatt Regency and the other was at their office.
Then participated in two local health fairs for Osteoporosis Canada; one at the newly renovated McGill Student’s Residence on Parc Ave. and the other in one of Laval’s CLSD’s.
Then I had a couple of industry speakers come to my class.
…. talk about an eclectic group, no?
I simply have.not.stopped. Since the 10th of October I have not had day off….nor a weekend.
I’m not complaining – I LOVE what I do and it was a FANTASTIC month!
It’s just that it amazes me sometimes how quickly time flies when you’re having fun. Ahhhh the life of a planner…. oftentimes tell my students at LaSalle College that while being an event planner can be glitzy and glamorous, it’s also hard work with grueling hours and a lot of pressure.
For October I did my last two AGMs – one at the beginning of the month and another mid-October.
In-between those weeks I went to Las Vegas attended a conference, did my celebrity wedding (yes after 2 years of planning it’s DONE (sorry still cannot reveal whom it was) It was a great way to cap off the wedding season, which is officially over for me.
Too boot got a tour of OLD Vegas from two Canadian brothers I met on the plane; Rick & Rodger from Barrie, Ontario you guys ROCK!!!
Oh, BTW, while I was in Vegas I got certified as an Incentive Specialist …here is the article welcoming us in this tightly knit group;
And, as always, we had our annual AMPWD meeting to start planning for the upcoming year. We have some very exciting stuff for 2014. I would also like to announce that I accepted to be one of three official instructors at WPIC. I will begin this coming year 2014; between Ottawa all the way through Newfoundland (in other words all the eastern provinces). YUPPIE can’t wait..
Honestly, I can’t think about the New Year just yet… I still have to get through November and December!
See you soon my faithful readers…
